Athletes
The AP provides tags for top Olympic athletes. The
tags are applied based on at least one mention of the athlete’s full name.
Whenever athletes are identified in the content, the
AP includes some additional information, which lets you identify and group
them as sports figures: the Person Types of SPORTS_FIGURE
and PROFESSIONAL_ATHLETE. For more information,

Governing Body
Sports governing organization terms such as International Olympic Committee are
part of AP Organization metadata.
