AP Media Agent 11.0.3

 Important

The latest agent version 11.0.3 includes performance improvements for better stability and is now available for download.  AP Media Agent has always used the encrypted HTTPS protocol, and Agent 11.x supplies the API key in the HTTP request header.

If you are running older versions of the agent, we strongly urge you to automatically upgrade to the latest version to avoid potential issues and take full advantage of the new features and improved performance in the latest releases of the agent, dashboard and AP Media API.

Fields Removed from NewsML-G2 Item Metadata

  Important

When processing data elements and attributes, do not include dependencies on content metadata fields because they are returned only if available and applicable.

Item metadata in the NewsML-G2 format no longer contains the //contentMeta/contentCreated and //contentMeta/contentModified datetime fields that had the same values as the //itemMeta/firstCreated and //itemMeta/versionCreated fields, respectively.

Make sure to use the following datetime fields:

  • The versionCreated field for the date and time in UTC when this version of the content item was published.

  • The firstCreated field for the date and time in UTC when the first version of the content item was created.

Example: The versionCreated and firstCreated fields in NewsML-G2

<itemMeta>

            ...

    <versionCreated>2025-01-16T22:17:26Z</versionCreated>
    <firstCreated>2025-01-16T14:46:02Z</firstCreated>

            ...

</itemMeta>

Metadata Field Added to JSON

The "expires" property has been added to the JSON content item metadata. This field contains the date and time after which the content item is no longer considered valid or publishable by the AP. When available, this field is returned by default in the Search, Feed, On-Demand and Item Metadata responses in the JSON format.

...

The //itemMeta/expires field has been returned in the NewsML-G2 Item Metadata responses when available:
